Ukraine Nightingale Project would like to thank the Penticton Legion, Terry Michels, and our amazing Ukrainian families that partnered with us to run a Ukrainian fund raising dinner on Saturday,October 21st. The event featured home made Ukrainian dishes including varenyky, korovai, cabbage rolls, and apple charlotte. Thanks to all of our Ukrainian friends who shared these wonderful delicacies with us, and to Chef Horst Dindorf who donated the cabbage rolls. The Ukrainian entertainment featured performances by Oksana Zbrutska who played traditional music on her keyboard, and Oksana Krastman who sang a beautiful Ukrainian song for the crowd.
The event was a sellout and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. UNP thanks the local businesses and suppliers, as well as individuals, who donated items for the silent auction.
